Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"A cute little themed place. We had iberico jamon sandwiches, plus churros and hot chocolate, all of which was fine. We ordered opium tea but this did not arrive (the waiters do not write down your order so I thought this may happen). Luckily we were not charged for it. Recommended if you're in the area and it's not full."
"Delicious churros and very quick service, even though they were packed! Didn't seem touristy at all, which is always a bonus. Between our little Spanish and their little English, we managed to have a fun experience. Wonderful churros with chocolate and great little coffees."
"churros and hot chocolate were delicious and the meals were quite large considering how much we paid. would definitely come back"
"We came here for breakfast and sat inside. Service was quite good and the coffees delicious. The place does attract a lot of tourists but also locals as it is one of the oldest establishments in the famous La Rambla strip. We were content with the food and service."
"I didn't eat I only had a expresó and a liquor but the history of the place and the setting is impressive."
"Like me, if you like something old fashioned and non gentrified, then this place will definitely float your boat. They don't do fancy food, but instead simple hearty conservative Spanish dishes. Like many, I am at awe with the untouched interior and it does make it more authentic and appetising."
"Great place to have a coffee or drink , prices are reasonable, enjoyed some coffee, my friends had drinks , small area but comfortable, one friend had the ice cream and really liked it, they were playing cards upstairs , seems like a lot of history there , hope to be back soon, thank you."
"The only best churros in Barcelona properly done with chocolate, served warm, crispy fresh churros from the outside and tender on the inside. Chocolate sweetness is just right with rich real chocolate. The only place I go to for churros."
